The Counseling Center at JFS

The Counseling Center at JFS Rochester  provides a range of evidence-based models to support the mental health and well-being of individuals, children, and families in our community, across the lifespan regardless of age, race, faith or circumstance.

About Our Programs

We offer counseling services using evidence-based models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Our experienced counselors also provide a safe and supportive environment for adults to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop effective coping skills. These services are also provided to older adults by counselors who are experienced with the unique needs of aging and caregiver concerns. We are able to provide in-home services as appropriate to older adults. We also offer on-site counseling services for children and youth at Jewish day schools, religious schools, and Jewish child care centers, providing essential support to young people in our community. Telehealth sessions are available. It is our goal to make mental health counseling accessible and affordable for every community member; we offer a wide range of models of care, accept most insurance plans, and provide a generous sliding scale fee schedule with additional need-based discounts.
