Child & Family Services

JFS provides support and resources to parents and families through counseling, therapy, support groups, and education programs. We believe that strong families are the foundation of a healthy community, and we are committed to providing a range of services that support families in our community.

About Our Programs

The Counseling Center at JFS has comprehensive and evidence-based programs for family members of all ages, either individually or through group or family therapy.

Our child and adolescent counseling services provide a safe and supportive environment for children and adolescents to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop effective coping skills to improve their emotional well-being. We also offer family counseling services that help families build stronger relationships, improve communication, and navigate difficult situations together. Our SPACE program supports parents in understanding and supporting their child who is experiencing anxiety, while also taking care of their own emotional needs. Child & family services at JFS Rochester also include on-site programming throughout the community, food and essential services, new parent peer support, and resources for people with disabilities.
